Keeping information secure is a priority for our clients and we are committed to ensuring that JustFOIA data is protected.
As a clerk or IT administrator, you are the guardian of information for your organization, and with great power comes great responsibility. Strict government compliance standards and lawsuits are harder to navigate than ever before, and the number of requests for public records increased by 30% since 2010. Peace of mind with the security of your agency’s records is one line item you can check off your list of requirements while searching for the best request tracker that meets your agency’s objectives.
MCCi is committed to maintaining a safe and secure platform for our clients that meets or exceeds industry best practices.
Our in-house information security and compliance functions complement the controls that our primary technology provider, Microsoft Azure Government Cloud, provides. Its charter also includes protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the JustFOIA data and computing assets. MCCi keeps a CISSP certified professional on staff, the industry’s de facto security credential. All administrative access to the JustFOIA infrastructure is restricted through an encrypted VPN tunnel; only accessible when connected to the MCCi private corporate network. If that sounds secure to you, just wait, there’s more.
JustFOIA is deployed using best practices in the Microsoft Azure Government Cloud. The Microsoft Azure Government cloud was built upon the foundational principles of security, privacy and control, compliance, and transparency. JustFOIA is deployed in a physically isolated instance of Microsoft Azure that employs world-class security and compliance services critical to the U.S. government for all systems and applications built on its +architecture. All inbound and outbound traffic to JustFOIA is controlled through a Layer7 load balancer and a Web Application Firewall.
Microsoft Azure Government Cloud is FedRamp Authorized at Level High. MCCi has undergone a validation of eligibility for deploying JustFOIA in the Azure Government Cloud. Azure Government services handle data that is subject to specific government regulations and requirements, such as FedRAMP, NIST 800.171 (DIB), ITAR, IRS 1075, DoD L4, and CJIS. In order to provide you with the highest level of security and compliance, the Azure Government uses physically isolated data centers and networks (located in the U.S. only).
